The note

Bhopal is best approached through its arts institutions, not a bookstore-heavy framework. Bharat Bhavan, the multi-arts complex in Shamla Hills, is foundational. Much of the city’s literary programming runs through or alongside it, with unusual crossovers between reading and performance.

This edition is intentionally compact. It is well suited to essay-led and people-led coverage rather than an exhaustive listings page.
